What is the difference between oceanography and marine biology? Why is it important to have ships for research?
The difference between marine biology and oceanography is that marine biology mostly deals with studying marine plants and animal life while oceanography deals with mapping out the ocean floor. I think we need ships in order to conduct research because we can't obviously get to certain parts of the ocean in order to conduct research. Shipd can also be easier to conduct studies and near natural environments.

List some experiences in lakes/rivers/oceans that you felt connected to nature.
I had many experiences in oceans/lakes/rivers on a boat. I mostly go fishing with my Dad and Joel and go to certain spots in the ocean to fish with them. I enjoy fishing with my family and see what kinds of fish are living whenever I fish.
Lifethought 117
What role are you interested in doing on a research vessel?
I think a role that I might be doing on a research vessel is a scientist studying most of the research samples during most of the explorations. I would see myself on the RV Melville waiting for someone who needs me to help analyze a sample scientists just found. I would look at the sample and analyze that sample a couple of times to see if there are any new discoveries. I would usually find a new discovery and tell the other scientists what I found.

Ideas for human encroachment in areas with animals? What should animal and human relationships be?
I think one idea I have for this situation is to have warning signs around the paths to inform about animal locations and what to do. I think the relationships should be at a level where animals won't find humans threatening and humans can take care of them a lot.

What are some plants that have medicinal properties?
Lifethought 128
Where are the roots of your agave plants?
The roots of my plants are near the bottom of the bulbus.
Lifethought 129
Areas meant for something.
Invasive plants are usually non-native.
Trophic Levels might be related to a plant's growth needs like temperature zones, water, soil, etc.
Lifethoughts 26

Lifethought 210
List some organisms in a marine biome.
One reason why wetlands are key to water quality is because the water organisms that can live both in and out of water.
Lifethought 212
What is symbiosis?
Symbiosis might be partial examinations of organisms and plant/animal life in some species cases.
Lifethought 48
If I was my adopted plant, I would think of humanity as very peaceful for all of time. The humans would get along well and they take time to care about other people. I would think of myself (when I am a plant) (myself=me) as a caring person and doesn't want to cause any trouble. I would still care for the plant and I wouldn't say anything negative about me (as a plant). Humanity would not be harmful to the plant and would accept things that happen and would naturally adapt to whatever conditions are affecting them.

What is Evolution?
Evolution is a main part of a life cycle. When something evolves, the organism would learn new traits, adapt to new environments, etc. Evolution can be classified into various phylias or organism kingdoms. Fish can learn to adapt to different water environments as they evolve over time. Most humans also evolve to learn more things and be more aware with what gores on in the world.
Lifethought 411
Do you believe in Evolution? Who in your family has been the most influential?
I believe in evolution because it is a natural part of life to evolve.I learned new things over time as I evolved from a baby and I have gotten used to new environments. My family and friends all believe in evolution because they experienced the same things too. I think a lot of my family has been influential to my life because I learned so much from my family as I evolved and I wouldn't have been successful if they didn't care for me. I think their motives would be to help me understand what I have to understand when I am an independent adult. I have to know what is right and wrong to mature and evolve.

Lifethought 428
What do microorganisms achieve?
Decomposers and reproduction.
Lifethought 429
What is the behavior of plants and animals? How would you describe your behavior?
Behavior of plants are the ways that plants function when it comes to survival and adaptation. Same for animals, but with more factors like weather and predators. My behavior is that I am hard-working, caring, and positive about learning new things.
Lifethought 56
What is a coral? What are some misconceptions on corals? What are some things that makes corals seems bad?
A coral reef is a little area in the ocean that has many plants that helps support aquatic organisms and animals. I think a misconception on a coral is that it is one big organism. One of the reefs feels a little rough.

What is Ecology? What does population/community have to do with Ecology?
Ecology is the study of ecosystems and populations. Branch of biology and studies relationships i the surrounding environment and one another. Population has to do with ecology because ecology studies organism relationships.
